Since we have already had several cases of influenza documented in September, we want everyone to know that we have the vaccine available in the office. Please just stop by for your shot. No appointment is needed. We will be given them here until our supply runs out. Don’t take a chance, get your flu shot now. >80,000 individuals died last year because of the flu. Evidence has shown that getting the flu vaccination reduces the risk of a heart attack or stroke by at least 15% (almost better than taking a statin!)
Many of you who have Medicare will be getting (or have already received), a questionnaire about your experience with our practice. This is a real document. The Medicare administrators are currently evaluating each practice performance. Therefore, please complete it, and if you identify areas that you think we could improve, please let us know. We will not be getting a copy of how you respond, so please share your concerns with us.

We are proud to be named a Patient Centered Medical Home with Carefirst BlueCross and BlueShield of Maryland. What does this mean for our patients? We now have the ability to utilize a trained registered nurse to help coordinate a patient’s care who has Carefirst BCBS insurance and help each patient achieve their best health through participation in a number of preventive health programs. This is a free service to our patients. The nurse coordinator will review all testing performed, medications and possible drug interactions, current medical problems, and be a resource that each patient can call when there are any questions about their health. She will help us coach each participating patient toward their best health.
Please contact us to see if you are eligible to enroll in this program.
